Dr. Murphy is a licensed psychologist with a doctorate degree in Counseling Psychology. She has diverse experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults in a variety of settings, including school-based mental health, outpatient clinics, and child/adolescent day treatment programs. She has specialized training and experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics (CBIT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Psychosis (CBTp), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and mindfulness-based treatment. Dr. Murphy completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities and her Master's and Doctorate degrees in Psychology at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. Dr. Murphy completed her postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Minnesota Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr. Murphy is a member of the Society for Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology of the American Psychological Association and credentialed as a National Register Health Service Psychologist.
In her free time, Dr. Murphy enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, scrapbooking, and going for walks around the beautiful Minnesota lakes. |
Ms. Hanah Ward is a therapist with a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota and received her undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. She has experience working in a variety of settings including school-based mental health, in-home, and outpatient clinics. She has experience working with kids as young as two-years-old through adulthood. She especially enjoys working with people going through life transitions struggling with depression and anxiety. She has specialized training in Play Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Maternal Mental Health, The Gottman Method and Prepare/ Enrich. Hanah also draws from Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Narrative Therapy in session. She is a member of the Minnesota Association for Marriage and Family Therapy.
In her free time, Hanah enjoys spending time with her dogs, going to trivia, baking and completing DIY projects. |
Ms. Lindsay Shackelton is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of St. Thomas. Lindsay completed her undergraduate studies in Psychology at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities. She has experience working in a variety of settings including in-home, residential, school-based settings, and outpatient clinics. She has specialized training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and is a certified Managing and Adapting Practice (MAP) Therapist. She is also working towards a mental health certification in infertility from the American Society for Reproductive Medicine. Lindsay specializes in working with adolescents and young adults, with particular interests in depression, anxiety, trauma, and life transitions. She utilizes an eclectic approach to therapy, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy and Strengths Based Therapy.
In her free time, Lindsay enjoys spending time with family, traveling, hiking, playing with her dog and cooking. |
Administration
Ms. Ally Herman joined MPS in early 2020 in the role of office assistant. She assists MPS with administrative tasks, including billing, bookkeeping and scheduling. Ally is currently completing her college degree and has previously worked in the healthcare and customer service industries and enjoys working with people.
In her free time, Ally enjoys spending time gardening and being in nature, traveling and spending time with family. |
