Jessica Bemlott (she/her) is enrolled in the PsyD in Counseling Psychology program at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota, where she also received her master’s degree in 2019.
Jessica has worked with children and their families in outpatient, partial hospital program, and inpatient settings since graduating from the University of Minnesota, also receiving training with Washburn Center for Children and the University of Minnesota’s Department of Pediatrics.
Jessica uses humor and warmth to build relationships with her clients, and these connections are a driving force in her clinical practice. She uses a developmental lens, as well as relational and strengths-based approaches to help families move toward the positive changes they want to see. She emphasizes the importance of involving families in their child’s care to maximize success and give everyone the tools they need to be happier and healthier. In addition to emotional and behavioral concerns, Jessica enjoys working with children with medical comorbidities, particularly those experiencing chronic illness and difficulties with sleep.
When not performing clinical or academic duties, Jessica likes spending time outdoors with her family, trying new restaurants, and traveling (Colorado and Japan are favorite destinations).
Jessica is a pre-licensed clinician working under the supervision of licensed psychologist, Dr. Rebecca Murphy.
