- Chaarissa Romero (she/her) is pursuing her master’s degree (M.A.) in Counseling and Psychology from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. Before this pursuit, she earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the College of Saint Benedict. Prior to arriving at Murphy’s Psychological Services, Chaarissa has spent 9 years working in various mental health settings such as children’s residential treatment center, children’s mental health case manager at a community agency, and suicide prevention with children and adults.
- Chaarissa is Latina and coming from a bicultural background, she recognizes everyone’s unique experiences. Chaarissa works to provide a safe, humorous (when appropriate), and collaborative space for clients.
- In her free time, Chaarissa enjoys playing soccer, spending time with her dog (Oso, means bear), and traveling.
- Chaarissa is a pre-licensed clinician and will be working under the supervision of Dr. Rebecca Murphy.
