Emily Mueller, MPS, LADC
Clinician
Emily Mueller is a licensed alcohol and drug counselor (LADC) who is also pursuing her professional clinical counselor license (LPCC). Emily completed her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of Iowa and has been working in the field of education for the last eighteen years at the middle school level.
Emily graduated with a master’s degree from the Integrated Behavioral Health Program from the University of Minnesota. Her clinical work experiences include working in a co-occurring substance use and mental health treatment center in a variety of levels of care. Emily believes each client and their experience is unique and works to develop a therapeutic experience individualized to each client. She utilizes several counseling approaches to help clients make progress such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person Centered Therapy (PCT), and Solution-Focused Therapy. She has experience working with individuals diagnosed with substance use disorders, anxiety, depression/mood disorders, Schizophrenia Spectrum disorders, ADHD, and Post-Traumatic Stress disorder.
In her free time, Emily loves to be outside doing anything active. She is a distance runner and can often be found hitting the trails with her dog.
Emily is a pre-licensed clinician and is currently working under the license of supervisor Dr. Rebecca Murphy.
