Abigail Maiz (she/her) is currently pursuing her master’s degree (M.A.) in clinical mental health counseling from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. She completed her bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in psychology with a certificate in athletic health care at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Abigail has previous experience working with children at an autism therapy center as a behavior therapist in which she delivered individualized treatment plans that supported client goals. She also has worked with children in various educational settings.
As a counselor, Abigail aspires to provide an inclusive and safe environment for a wide range of clients. She is aware that clients enter the therapy space with varying comfortability and is eager to assist clients where they feel most at ease. She believes that with collective efforts, clients can work towards their personal goals. Her specific interests include anxiety, sports-related stress, life transitions, self-esteem, attachment, and trauma.
In her free time, Abigail enjoys baking, crafting, reading, walking with her dog, watching movies, and spending quality time with friends and family.
